Spring has come in full force these past few weeks, making way for another warm summer.
Cherry Blossom season was another beautiful few weeks in Vancouver, although I didn't partake in all of the selfie extravaganzas. It was nice to live through all of the foliage coming back to life - I even got to see my favourite hedge creation, which is some mixture of a caterpillar and a dragon. I really couldn't tell you.
I'm out touring Toronto right now, and I love coming here. Not only is the city full of so much dynamic art, but it's also home to my family. Speaking of which, my brother got married, and I finally got to see my niece again after what felt like an eternity. It's so nice to find your people, and I'm lucky that those people are also blood-related to me. Not everyone gets that luxury.
It's on the plus side that the weather is so perfect here. I love being able to get out and wear a T-shirt and shorts, and it's the perfect time to eat ice cream - my favourite. I'm staying with a friend here and have got to see so many awesome colleagues and pals, and I'm only halfway through my trip! I'm so excited to see what else Toronto has in store for me.
Saturday gifted me with a trip to this incredible queer market, it was full of vendors that were so diverse in their products and identities. Drag shows popped off, the small business merchandise was amazing and the food I got afterwards was delicious. Honestly, that's kind of my perfect day - a market, some fellow queer company, and the best food.
Sadly, I did wind up with a bit of eye irritation that had me clearing my schedule, but on the bright side, I finally found a reason to slow down and relax, even if it feels like I could just do that at home...
