The flu season is among us. Hide in your dungeons and drink all your tea. @missy and @rambo blog homework this week is to tell you about our tips and tricks to staying away from the plague. Now sometimes, its inevitable. Blame those around you and never yourself. Thats what I always do ;) I work in the food industry so cleanliness is a big deal. If someone is sick, you best damn well stay home if you know whats good for you. Already sick? Here’s what I do.
1. I don’t take medicine. Ive discovered, for me personally, every time I take cold medicine I always end up staying in bed an extra 2-3 days. The science behind that, I don’t know. With the flu, it seems like it gets stronger and deadlier every year so id imagine this advice doesn’t apply
2. That being said, I drink loads of hot tea. Usually decaf because i always overdue it with coffee in the morning anyway. Spearmint tea, ginger root. Things that are low histamine
3. Stay clean. Dont be an asshole, you dont want to get anyone else feeling your type of way
4. I stay clear of weed and alcohol. The alcohol is usually a given but weed can be high histamine and your more likely to get stuffy
5. Have some projects you can do in bed. I prefer painting, editing for youtube, or some sort of creative outlet to temporarily keep your mind off blowing your nose.
Those are my tips for the already ill. Good luck!
