My boyfriend of 5 years and I had a little fake honeymoon/roadtrip (we don't believe in marriage) and went along the coast of California in a van we rented out. We didnt think to make any campground reservations, so the weekend was an adventure looking for a place to sleep. One night they were all full till a ranger mentioned one high in the mountains off a small road. Our little van made the trip, just dont look down! We found the camp site, where we had a creek to ourselves. With no lights, the night can play mind games. I walked out to pee and caught a deer watching. Then I met some blue bird friends that had mohawks.
My week consisted of finding places to sleep, what to eat, and how I was going to pee. It was nice not to have my mind focused on every little problem, which really is minuscule compared to the greater things in life. I ate a lot of vegan treats from different cafes and met up with a few ladies like @sunshine and @callioppe whom I love dearly. If SG has taught me one thing, it's that although I may not be shooting, I will always have a place with my friends I make here.
I realized I'm not as high maintenance as I once thought I was. I let my allergies and asthma dictate my confidence but really it wasn't that hard to find food, considering there's this thing called grocery stores and I mostly have been eating raw anyway. We had a gas stove that we used and ate at places with vegan options so I was pretty good to go.
All in all, I'm sad that it's over and I wish I could continue that way of life. We found our new city that we want to move to, which is our goal for a year or so, and I even got offered a job on the spot which kind of sealed the deal considering that was my biggest concern. I'm more than ready. When we came back I instantly got sick again. This chronic digestive problem back in my life, claritin as my friend, and the exhaustion from 110 degree weather, yep I'm ready.
A skill I would like to aquire-
@missy @rambo @lyxzen
A few would be to:
-learn Spanish, as I live by the border and took about 5 years total of the goddamn language but still haven't managed to get my way around Mexico
-Master the art of yoga. None of my moves are that impressive
-Maybe gain more motivation to want a skill. I can't really think of anything I'd truly want to be good at besides the obvious of being better at whatever I do at the moment.
And last but not least, remember to leave your love and comments on Bloomed Hearts by @cdo
I would absolutely love being om the front page again, its been some time :)
Thats all for now little ones! What's your summer shaping up to be? A time of growth? Getting much needed sleep? Working your butt off? Lets hear it!
