When @missy and @rambo informed us on the next topic, i did a little happy dance inside. You all know i love my pets, and any excuse to talk about them im all up for.
Now, lets just take a moment to recognize that I also have a fat rabbit named Pepper. His hobbies include eating, being bad, and sleeping. There, let's move on. Yes I play favorites.
In this moment as I write, there are three chickens in my lap:
Every morning, like clockwork, I sit cross legged. Mardigan does some sweet sounds and the other two wait for her to cuddle my armpit area. The other two follow behind her. They take longer to get comfortable than they take actually relaxing. Bodies flopping, necks stretched out, sleeping on a human. It's so weird because, they act like cats.
Mardigan is the black and white hen. Although they are all sisters, she has taken on the roll as the older sister. The other chickens will give her bonus bugs, call her over and make this cute ass sound and drop the bug in front of her. I think Mardigan loves me the most. She has trouble breathing but we've decided the added stress of traveling far for a specialist and doing numerous tests is probably not worth it. Shes happy and doesn't act like she's in pain so we're waiting it out.
Chuck is the orange looking one. I call her chuck the fuck because she's bad. Always the first to go into the beds and always bullies. She's a little smaller, so she overcompensates with assholeness. She still has love in her heart and sometimes sneaks in alone cuddles.
Dorito is my favorite. She does whatever she wants and is extremely smart. Dorito's hobbies include digging, chasing things, moving sticks, and talking. She sounds just like Tina from Bob's Burgers. Sometimes she'll just run up to me and lay in my lap. Like a goddamn cat!
These guys saved my life, they really did. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be outside at all, and I've grown a fond appreciation to nature because of that. They are beautiful pets that produce lovely green eggs (I'm allergic/and vegan but I heard they taste amazing). They are smart if you let them be, as is any animal when you give it the love and attention they deserve.
