well, IP 6 has much more flexibility than IP 4, which has been running since 1981. We are getting to the point where legal (unassigned) IP addresses are getting hard to come by. Mobile phones, vehicles, PDA's, all now have IP addresses. So we need some scalability. There is also a need for media delivery and security delivery that IP 4 does not address. Currently there are only 6 header options supported in IP 4, while IP 6 supports 255, giving the system admin much more flexibility in his/her network. Plus IP 6 is compatable with IP 4; IPX is not.
I'm not going to be able to go to your show....I'M BUMMED!!!!! It turns out I'm going out of town that weekend, and I'm leaving Friday.
Are you guys playing any shows during the week next week, or the week following the Coach House gig??? Let me know, because if you are, I will definitely be there to show my support.
I'm sorry I won't be able to make it!! Either way, let's still get together next week and do something.
