So, I quit my band last night. I swore that if we ever played as horrible as we did when we played with the English Dogs, I would quit. And last night was the night. Our drummer was as drunk as a skunk, even after we made it a rule to not drink before the shows (for the reason that he can't keep a beat when he's drunk), our monitors went out after the 2nd song, and my guitar player threw down his guitar and walked out the back door DURING the 3rd song because some skinhead knocked into him while we were playing. We were told we had to keep playing, so we finished our set and I left with my head lowered, and my tail in-between my legs. I am over playing with alcoholics, drug addicts and only semi-talented musicians. So, if anyone knows of any musicians looking to start a band, side project, who is none of the above mentioned (drug addicts, alcoholics, and only semi-talented) Would you please let me know? I'd appreciate it so so so much. I am going to take a cold shower now and at least feel sorry for myself for 5 minutes.
P.S. I didn't mean to sound stuck up when I said I don't want to play with only semi-talented people....I just meant that it's frustrating when we practice the same songs for a year, and every other show someone manages to still fuck up our songs...it gets old.
