Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson (If you like the movie, the book is a TREAT!)

White Oleander(i read it in 2 days. couldn't put it down)

Lolita (the affair between the 13 year old and the older man)

Zen and the Art of Motercycle Maintenance (if you're into alternative views of consciousness)
