Happy Thanksgiving!
I cooked dinner and dessert for my family and John again this year (minus the crazy amounts of friends from last year). It turned out really well, if I do say so myself. Anywho, just wanted to stop in and share my crown jewel this year - my dessert, a dark chocolate orange and pecan mousse trifle. YUM!
Oh, and the "after" from my recent hair dying experience.
That's my "Stay out of my kitchen" face.

-Sara Lee pound cake (from the freezer aisle) as the cake layers
-orange liqueur sprinkled sparingly on each of those
-pecan mousse made from heavy whipping cream, sugar, and "cookie pieces" pecan bits
-dark orange chocolate mousse made from bittersweet Ghirardelli chocolate, heavy whipping cream, sugar, and fresh orange zest
The instructions are super easy to follow too.
And thanks! I got it at Ikea because it was too damn cute to pass up.
