[Disclaimer: Didn't realize I had so much pointless shit to say until I had finished writing this. So, if you are interested at all in reading this I bolded the most important points that will give you a quick idea of what this post is about. Enjoy!]
Not alot going on, that's why my last posts have lacked in substance.
I'm working alot and sleeping just about the rest of the time. I go to the gym when I'm not dead or otherwise occupied. I haven't "gone out" in ages and people are bugging me about that now. I just haven't had the drive to do that recently.
Today I opened a new checking account at Huntington because I am finally fed up with 5/3. They have just screwed me over a time too many. Thus, I will be closing that account after my next bank statement. I want to make sure that everything has cleared before I yank the plug on that account, but after that, no more dealing with 5/3. I plan to set up direct deposit to my account for work, which is nice, but delays my paychecks by a day. I guess I can't complain too much about that though because it will save me the trip.
Early next week, on one of my days off, I plan to go and transfer my driver's license to Ohio and get my car registered. Damn, I've had this vehical a year and haven't registered it yet. Luckily, I've only gotten one ticket so far for that and no other tickets at all. Once that's taken care of I plan on doing something about my door and tires. Bryan sounded intrested in fixing the door if I either buy a new one or figure out what I want done to it. I'm thinking of just going with the new one. That way my car will have at least two working ones. Hehe.
While I'm talking about my car I'm just going to do a little "list" of what all I need to do to it with my next paychecks. I need to repair the back passenger side door, change the oil again (may do this early next week), fill it up with gas (probably Saturday), get tires soon, fill up the crappy tires with air (Saturday), get the funny thing its doing checked out, reglue the rearview mirror (Saturday), CLEAN IT (this weekend for sure).
When I say clean, I'm talking about the ENTIRE package. I'm going to take EVERYTHING out of it, vaccum the ENTIRE car since the previous owner was a smoker and I never did get all of the ash, clean the windows, clean the cup holders, wash the outside, etc. It needs it really badly.
I'm hoping that once I get it cleaned it will stay that way and once I get it fixed up I won't drive it much at school and can then just sell the fucker next summer. I mean hell, with the money I make from selling it (maybe 600 once it's in better shape) and the money I make the first part of next summer, I plan on buying a newer used car. I'm cool with something that I make monthly payments on as long as I'm working part-time and they aren't ungodly. I just need something a wee bit nicer. I've already proven I'm not a *totally* wreckless driver (ie. no accidents, no tickets, no killing people, my mom doesn't think I drive crazy when I drive her around), I'm obviously ready to move beyond starter car.
Tuesday was Balls' (my little, Jess Baldridge) birthday so tomorrow a bunch of us are taking her out on the town. Jamie, Leigh, Halle, Donnely, Balls', Jen (hopefully), and myself are going to tear up Cinci. We are meeting at her place, having Leigh drive, and heading out for food at Dewey's, the best pizza place EVER, on the Levee. From there we may grab some ice cream at Coldstone and then head up to Jacob's. I'm excited about this because Joe is seeing to it that I get in for 21. I'll be buying my Little the traditional birthday shot of The Three Wisemen (Jose, Jim, and Jack) and I'm doing it with her (followed by something wonderful as a chaser because I hear that's a bitch). We shall then dance until we can't stand it anymore and go back to her place for a sleepover and early morning swimming.
I'm excited! Not only are some fun girls coming down to celebrate, but I get to see the group I party with for the first time in AGES. I miss seeing Zak and Sarah and Selena. I got used to seeing them 5 nights a week. hehe. Time for these girls to see who I hang out with at home. I'm interested to see how this goes down. I mean, these girls are kinda "preppy" and "naive" and my friends from home just.... AREN'T! But I love all of them, so maybe that will be a good starting point for them. The only down side is that I work tomorrow so I may be a bit dead.
Today was a rather nice day. I woke up when I woke up, showered, opened the new account, and picked my brother back up. From there we went to Ludlow Ave and ate at Habaneros. That food is always soooo yummy. After eating we decided it was way too nice of a day to just go back home so we walked up and down the street looking at the shops. I bought this great little gag gift for my Little and a carved soap stone turtle for myself.
On the way home my brother and I passed a one car accident which was scary and very bizarre (I'm trying to find news about it online as we speak). We stopped at Meijer and got a chain for my Little as well as a cookie cake and a coffee tumbler from Starbuck's. I tried a Tazo Shaken Iced Green Tea unsweetened and it was way yummy. I think it may be my new favorite drink from them, though I want to try their frappucino version of it. After swinging by my mom's work with leftovers and trading car keys we headed home to watch tv, shower, pin curl my hair, and sit here to type this.
I REALLY don't want to work tomorrow and I'm not tired yet (2:24a now) so I won't get to bed for a while longer. This only means I'll be more tired tomorrow. What a vicious cycle, eh?
I hadn't realized that I had let this ramble on so long, I guess I had more pointless stuff to say than I originally thought. Meh. I'm going to go try and shove sleeping pills down my throat so I can get to bed. Have a good [morning] everyone!
