Hi.
I love you all...
...But after next year at Witt I'm about 75% sure I will be transferring to UC for my senior year.
I know, it seems stupid, but I just talked to my mom and some other way more unbiased people about the issue and it really seems like the best plan.
1. After next year I will have accomplished everything I wished to do at Witt besides graduate and I can deal with that as long as it happens at some accreadited institution.
2. It will still save me 32000 dollars.
3. I can work my job at home where I make TWICE what I could make at any job at or around Witt.
4. I can transfer to the Psych Unit and make even more plus WORK IN MY FUTURE FIELD.
5. I can save money from not having room and board and bodacious (nice word, eh?) gas expenses when I do need to come home for doctor's appointments (which I will have many more of because of my failing health) and other things.
6. I'll be going to a school which costs a 4th of what Witt does a year on the most expensive side. Thus, the money I make can go into the bank and paying off my credit card and buying a new car, etc.
7. I'll be home.
8. I love my friends and sisters, but I'm just NOT happy at Witt anymore, at all really.
9. Academically, socially, financially, and health-wise it will be less of a strain on myself and those I care about.
10. I don't have to move all of my shit.
11. I can save money for Grad school.
12. Where I work does TUITION REIMBURSEMENT if I work there part-time and go to school in the area and promise a year or two of working for them after I graduate. That's a HUGE incentive there. And if I go to Grad school in the area, it won't be a problem at all.
13. They have cut my financial aid in half when only 300 more dollars were really available or expected based upon FAFSA and my [family's] tax returns.
The list goes on, but those are just the reasons I can think of right now.
