I really dislike my job apart from the fact that I pretty much work on my own and get things done at my pace on the slower days and that it gives me time with my own thoughts. The paychecks aren't bad either, but the work to get them is really quickly killing me. It's actually making me physically ill. The cleaner fumes and running around the unit busting my ass and being all my feet all day has left me tired, sore, nauseas, feverish (I worked all day yesterday with a fever of 101 and the day before that 100.5), and it's causing me to get migraines more frequently.
I'm working on my unit transfer papers at the moment. Perhaps if I take a job at Mercy in Springfield I'll go on PT and then will have the advantage of tuition reembursement and can take the CNA course for free. I that happens I have WAAAAAAAAAAAY more options for jobs in the future. Being a CNA gives me the ability to work at any hospital on any unit or at any doctor's office. How awesome is that? Plus, it's a rather large pay raise - not to say I make bad money now 10.56 is nothing to cry about - and lord knows I could use it.
I'm nervous and apprehensive about returning to school this year. I've been having major doubts about being at Witt anymore. There are people I really love and care about there, but that's all I can see anymore. I'm not happy there and now they are asking for A THIRD of all the money my mom makes in one year in tuition alone. You see, they cut off a huge portion of my financial aid because based on my FAFSA from last year it looks like I should be able to contribute more. Let me tell you something, 300 dollars more does not qualify to be expecting me to pay 6000 more a semester you jack asses!
I'm gonna go do something else now.
