I should really be writing my damn Africana Studies paper, but I don't feel like it at all. I want to just... I don't know really. I'm in a weird place right now. Am I happy or sad? Both? Am I exhausted? Probably. Do I want to be home? Yes and no. Can I take a couple friends and Steve home with me and say a big fuck you to everything and everyone else? No, but it sounds like a good plan to me. I have to be depressed right now, because I don't have any other reasons to be feeling like this. None at all. The tests for my classes are done for now; I have about the most amazing boyfriend ever; I had a really great weekend of drinking, hanging out with people I've missed, sleeping at the Lambda Chi house, drunk dials from Ellen, and some of the best kisses of my life; there is only a month left of this semester; etc. Maybe I'll blame it on being PMSy since I just started my period yesterday, but I'm normally more emotional the few days BEFORE not during. *shrugs*
This weekend was really great though, mostly. Some highlights include:
-Visit and tour of Madison Correctional Institute.
-Sheepie Sangria
-Steak N Shake with my big, gbig, Grant, and Steve. Too bad Kari's Lambda Chi wasn't there too.
-Drunk dial from Ellen.
-Going "to bed."
-Sleeping at the LCA house all weekend.
-Spending time with the sheepies.
-Mi Jalapenos and Joey's 32oz beer.
-Joey made me vomit with his damn testicle joke.
-Watching TV and hanging out with Jeoy, Steve, Jenny, and Mandy.
-"Showers are overrated." "Then what do you suggest I do instead?" "Cuddle." "Oh, that is a good plan."
-Staying in bed a good three+ hours after waking up.
-Getting quotes about love from little kids that are ridiculously true and highly applicable.
-Finding KD stuff on eBay.
Yep, that's about it right there.
Kids really do know better than us.
"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4
"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4
"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8
"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt (or cologne *cough, cough*), then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7
"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget." Jessica - age 8
