My favorite coworker had her last day at my shop today before she moves home a state over. We made the best of it, we had many moments where we were almost in tears from laughter. A customer that had once asked me out (and got probably brutally rejected in his mind, but I freeze up when asked out by strangers in public haha) came in with his buddy, and the usual drill is I wave out the drive through window when their stuff is ready. She brought it to the front, a minute later I was like 'shit did they come up and get their food? Did you wave?' And she said no so I went to the window and waved like an asshat AS she says 'HAHA KIDDING I DID'. We were still screaming with laughter (the shop was empty) as he walked through the door. I ran (literally) to the back as Lindsey explains through her tears that I have just been a little silly today and felt like waving hello. Maybe you had to be there, maybe whoever reads this wants the minute of their life back, but it was an awesome last memory with a great person that I'd like the chance to look back on. I'll miss her, work will be less bright without her.
