Well it's been about a month again...so here goes.
There have been a couple of changes going on. For one, I took on a couple days at another tattoo shop about an hour away from my regular spot to kinda suppliment the old income. The other Shop is Psycho City in Lancaster and has (knock on virtual wood) Hot and cold running buisness. Plus it's a chance to work around some really talented and fun artists. I've only ever really worked (as a tattooer anyway) at one shop for the five years I've been doin it, so the change is good. Been making in two days, about what I make in a week so things are goin much better on the money front. Things on the regular shop front are going OK, but we have a new guy here that I dont think is workin out so well so that kinda sucks. So we'll see how that works out. Aside from that we got a new T.V. stand from Al's discount furniture in the valley. Well let me tell ya. They are assholes. Dont get anything from them. We thought they were OK because some members of my family had gotten some stuff from them. But we ordered a stand and they said it would takeabout 4 days to get in. Then...a week later, we called them and they said it was thefactory who was holding up the works and they would call them then us. No call. Then they said they would go and pick it up for us. then they were waiting for the factory, they they were gonna deliver it...back and forth for 3 weeks!! Finally called them and said dont bother, we wanted our money back. So they said theyed deliver it to us for free and they miraculously got it in that day. said again, dont bother, refund.Then I had to call three different people only to have to argue with the manager who wanted to stick me with a 30% restocking fee. which was bullshit. finally after more arguing and bullshit they said theyed do a full refund that day. then, 3 days later I called to say,"whats going on with my refund?" Only to talk to the bookkeeper who said she didnt see anything about a refund. SO finally they called back today(a month later) for our credit card so they could refund. FUCKERS!
So anyway, Finally taking the kids to Disneyland tomorrow, should be awesome.Cant wait. My son is only two so I dont know how much he'll get out of it, but my 4 year old daughter will be sooooooo stoked.I'll be rockin a fat wad of cash to spend so it should be a nice contrast from the 100 or so times I went there as a teenager. I used to go with my friend Sean who had a yearly pass, and we'd spend our only five buck on cheap booze and go aroud doing things, like counting the water fountains or chalking up points for how long you could walk in a straight line without having to get out of a group of peoples way. (sounds way more fun when your drunk)
