Well, I just wrote an official complaint to the FCC about the emergency alert system in my area. It came on at least 4 times yesterday evening warning about a severe thunderstorm, and not once did what the thing said match what was scrolling across the screen. No big deal, you say?
The thing is set up to have written and verbal alerts so both deaf and blind can be alerted to the danger. What if some one took a freakin walk thinking the storm was nowhere near them then- bam!! - bring on the horizontal hail.
I'm not joking. I mean, the wind was such that the rain and hail were literally blowing horizontally. And this shit came out of the blue, in like two minutes it went from cloudy to that.
It was a bad enough storm that I even-gasp- turned off and unplugged my pc.!
SO. . . .:/
I'm really pretty angry over this. I'm surprised how much.
So I complained to the friggin FCC, I feel like a dork that's over-reacting, but I just can't get the idea of some one being cluelessly outside when that hail hit.
And in other areas it was breaking windows, ect.
La la la what a wonderful life.
Time to go eat spagetti.
