Lost my job on Valentines Day! Came into work and my GM and owner were there and they said I was not preforming up to their standards. I worked for the company (as an AGMit was a sports bar) for 4 years and never was even written up! I was in charge of hiring and firing all of the front of the house staff and the owner said I had the worst staff in the company(they have 6 locations). I disagreed when he told me to let some people go. He said it was my staff that caused our declining sales. I said it was the economy and the fact that a huge mall just opened a 1/2 mile away from us with 3 bars and 15 restaurants in it when we used to have no competition in the area. My GM was a spineless turd and even though he agreed with me he kept his mouth shut because he didn't want to lose his job too! I guess I can't blame him but it still sucked.

So I am looking for a new job and will probably have one by the end of this week ( had some good interviews last week) but I am not looking forward to starting over. I was trying to buy a house too but that has got put on hold for now.
