I am at the gym motherfuckers! Yeah! Go me!
I was sitting in my room moping about how I couldn't get my ass to the gym, couldn't seem to find the motivation, and I got into a FB convo. with a friend about it, when one of my friends pipes in that I could use him for motivation since he lost 25lbs in 8mths. At first I was just even more pissed, because buddy has always been fatter than me, and we were always super competitive.
So I'm sitting bored in front of the computer and I type into google, I'm too lazy to go to the gym[/g] and you know what, it led me to some great fucking articles including a link to some amazing before/after shot people submitted on to bodybuilder.com. I still didn't go to the gym. I went to bed thinking about it though. When I woke up at 1:30am for a pee break, I didn't go back to bed, I went to the gym.
The fact is, that one of the hangups i have about going to the gym, is that I don't want the really fit guys there working out to judge me. But I made a great discovery, non of those guys are there in the morning. Everybody crowds into that place at night and you can barely get on a machine, but at 5am no one is around.
I started re-reading Body-for-Life, and when I saw the results people got in just 12 weeks, I was all in.
I've set my goal to lose 25lbs of fat in three months, but based on the results I've seen, if i work hard I could lose up to 40lbs! I'll blow my old friend out of the water! I can't wait to announce to the world at the end of twelve weeks how much fat I've lost, and share my before/after picture!
Right now I'm working three weeks at a time away from home, including for my anniversary. I'll see my family next week, but the next visit, the one closest to my anniversary my wife and kids will be away and I won't see them until the end of April. My wife and I have made our Anniversary plans for then, almost a full month after the date, but I'm excited about that, because I know that when she sees me then for the first time in 6 weeks she will be able to see a dramatic difference over that time. I can't wait! I am so pumped!
Just a note: I have no idea why I've never worked out in the morning before, it is invigorating!
I have goals. I have a plan. This is going to happen this time.
Now for my second goal, to design and draw out my tattoo sleeves.

I wouldn't look at it like that, though -- the coloring in the lines bit. We all have our different ways of viewing and feeling and interpreting. I think in sentences naturally, -- like I hear my thoughts as though they were being read to me, so it's really as easy as copying down what I heard. I know that other people feel things in general sensation or images, etc, so it's different. But if we're using the coloring metaphor, .. basically, I trace. ;]
Good for you re: the gym. I go at 6am to avoid creepers. It's great to get a good work out with all the old guys. Good luck teaching your goal!
