As an artist, living in this country really only has one advantage: the cultural dearth allows one to reconcile (and even justify) their commercial failure with the fact that, in this country (now more than ever), marketability and intelligence are mutually exclusive traits.
It's my blog, I can be as pretentious and/or bitter as I want.

Being a young, stunningly handsome, emotionally tortured and tragically unrecognized genius ain't all it's cracked up to be. As a matter of fact, it downright sucks.
And I'm certainly not getting any younger, either.

after a while, it gets old. you start to get tired of wanting to be happy, of not wanting to be alone... you become complacent with being miserable, with being angry.
