So, I thought I would blog about something serious tonight. I just found out that a girl I know committed suicide the other night. I can't believe it. I know that things get so bad in people's lives they feel there is no other way out. But, there is another way; there is always another way. I also noticed that a lot of people here talk like they are at the end of their rope. I think of all the things I would miss if something happened to me. I would never be able to hear music (good or bad), or feel sun on my skin, or smell freshly made bread, or see the most amazing colors in the sky when the sun is going down. There are so many things I would miss out on, like traveling anywhere I wanted to, dancing on a table on a whim, meeting the most amazing people everywhere I go, falling in love every day. I know a lot of people aren't going to read this, but I hope the people who do read this realize that there are so many things to live for, and so many things to fight for. Anyway, enough of the PBS Special. I feel so lucky to be me; to be alive, and healthy, and loved, even though I don't always act like it.

See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world
See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world
The breath from your own lips, the touch of fingertips
A sweet and tender kiss
The sound of a midnight train, wearing someone's ring
Someone calling your name
Somebody so warm cradled in your arms
Didn't you think you were worth anything
See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world
See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world
Millions of us in love, promises made good
Your own flesh and blood
Looking for some truth, dancing with no shoes
The beat, the rhythm, the blues
The pounding of your heart's drum together with another one
Didn't you think anyone loved you
See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world
