"You know what Tim, you're nothing like the way you look!"
I've heard similar in my life time. Here's some more...
"You're very well spoken for what you look like!"
"Tim, you're pretty cuddly when you get past the hard exterior aren't you?"
"You're just a geek trapped in a hard mans body."
I know, right?
Why is it that just because I shave my head, have numerous tattoos, piercings and listen/watch to music/films that are often considered brutal, OTT and perverse, people consider me as a "Hard Man". First of all, what the fuck does "Hard Man" even mean? Am I made of steel? Do I look like I could win every fight that I start/finish? Do I walk around with a constant erection?
"Never judge a book by it's cover." That's what I was taught. Sure, I slag people off for there appearance, but then so does everyone. It's the same as sitting down and watching Total Wipeout or Takeshi's Castle. People enjoy the mistreatment of others. It's a fact. I like nothing more than watching some portly fellow, caked in mud, navigate himself round sound precarious assault course, attempting to leap from giant ball to giant ball, only to get hit in his balls and to fall into the water below with his feet above his head.
What I guess I'm getting at is that pretty much everyone are still hypocritical bastards who still say stereotypical misunderstandings and then wonder why they are so surprised when the very person they are mocking turn out to be nothing like that of which they insinuated in the first place, making the statement "Never judge a book by it's cover" more pointless than this stupid blog.
