Yes kids, you heard right. A friend of mine (prob the only friend that is into comics as much as me that I get to see in person) told me of such an activity. Basically I've nicked this idea, after "stealing" a good 3GB or roughly 600 worth of comics via my handy pen drive and after returning from my first day at my new job, I had dinner, then settled down to the complete "House of M", "Marvel Civil War" and "Cable and Deadpool" series'.
Good fucking times. I love you Comic Rack.
Anyway, as mentioned, I had my first day at my new job as a Debt Chaser for Shell. Man, it was quite a boring day, I have to admit. Without my log-on details and ID, I couldn't get access to most of the stuff that us "young bloods" need to survive in such a job. So, I had a long day of pretty much watching and listening, with only an hour for my sandwhich and chapters worth of "Ghostmaker" by Dan Abnett to break the slur. Still, tomorrow is a new day, and hopefully a more productive one.
Saying that, I am slightly peaved to find that today was the cut off for the pay roll, with pay day being the 26th of each month. I may find that I don't get paid anything from Shell until November, which would mean just over a half of a months wages from Axa needing to last me a month which is full of expensive events due to an up and coming wedding and various other things. Et cetera, et cetera. Still, on the greener side of things, I did hand my documents in weeks ago, so hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones who might have caught the catchment date. Here's hoping.

So I turned up to work on Friday, at Axa, with it being my last day, only to find this...
So, following the office "party", Sarah, myself and some of the folk from Axa went for a drink to see me off.
Sarah and I had a blast. It's nice to get out with her and just let go for a bit. We ended up getting a bit sloshed, bought chips and cheese, then buggered off home laden with Irn Bru and sweets. I do love her lots. The big goof.
That's about it. I had a nice weekend over all. Just chilled out, watched some movies etc. It's always cool to have the DVD nights at Aileens too (A friend of mine and Sarahs from high school, the comic guy above is her boyfriend Colin).
Mentioning Ghostmaker by Dan Abnett above, no one will really care apart from Geoff, but I managed to get the OOP Gaunts Ghosts boxset off Ebay for just over 20. LOVE IT! Hopefully I'll get Ox from the Last Chancers to convert into Bragg. I'm currently bidding on one at 0.99 at the moment. Rejoice Ghost fans!
For Gaunt! For Tanith! For the Emperor! First, Last and Only!
