Are we sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

Last Saturday I went to see "The Incredible Hulk", fully expecting it to be the flop that it was described as in so many papers. Sure, I was still excited, but that was just the comic book geek inside me holding onto a little glimmer of hope after the awesome-ness that was...
How wrong I was. The movie was awesome. I was happily suprised to sit down to the titles at the start, with flash backs to scenes of how Banner became the Hulk. "Excellent" I thought, "That's an extra 30-45 mins saved for me by the nice chaps at Marvel". To be honest, I have heard a couple of people complaining about it, and really, did they watch the film at all? The whole film gave tit bits away of "what happened then" and "how he got here". Idiots. Still, the movie was amazing. The end fight alone is worth seeing it for. It was intense. Real power and animal rage, you really got the sense that The Hulk and The Abomination wanted to end each other. Awesome stuff. Also, Mr Tony Stark at the end? FUCK YEAH!!!
I also hear that a whole 50 mins was cut from the original filming, and with plans to include it in the DVD. Here's hoping they make it out a la Lord of the Rings Extended DVDs and not just plunk the lot into a "special disk".
Another rumour I have heard is that Marvel may make an Ironman vs Hulk film, much like the recent Ultimate Human comic. I would be very, VERY happy if this comes to light as true.
Marvel have really made me a happy man. I can't wait for the Thor, Captain America, Ant-man and other Avenger movies.
*checks pizza* Not quite...
So I went to see Origin the other night. Awesome show. Impaled and Hour of Penance were supporting (after 3 local bands, but I'll get to that shortly.) Impaled were there usual good selves, Hour of Penance was lacking there Bassist, but still played and still slayed. Origin were amazing, apart from I had to leave half way through there set, mainly due to the aformentioned support.
WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PUT SIX BANDS ON AT ON A WEEK NIGHT!?!?!
Totally pointless. It pissed me off.
Seeing Morbid Angel and Dying Fetus next week, which I have the days off for, well, sort of. Work screwed up my holiday, so I'm off Tues, Thurs and Fri instead of Tuesday through to Thursday. So I'm off Tuesday, seeing Morbid Angel that night, working the next day, seeing Dying Fetus that night then I'm off till Monday. Not all bad I suppose, and the Morbid Angel gig is at The Garage so it'll finish by half ten to get the night club punters in
*checks again* Nearly...
So. Big fucking Brother. I love it.
This year is weird, It's just caught my attention. Weird. That's all I have to say apart from the fact that Alexandra is out. Thank fuck. The bitch was a hypocritical, jealous, back stabbing cunt. I would happily kick the living shit out of her...
Woah...that was rather violent.
Well, I'm poor. Going back to the comics, due to no cash, I have no new comics. This has forced me to read "proper" books again and I'm glad. I've started reading Fulgrim, the 5th installment of the Warhammer 40,000 Horus Heresy saga. Awesome so far, I have plenty to get through after that (namely the 6th installment )
For the first time ever, I've wanted to read a book again (or rather 7 books) that being the Harry Potter books. It's weird, I love how they made me feel. I have the 2nd and 4th book, seeing I pretty much borrowed the rest, so at some point I will buy the hardcover set (childrens covers ofcourse, the adults versions are shit) and re-visit Hogwarts in all it's glory.
ALL HAIL THE PEPPERONI PIZZA OF DOOM!!!
*ahem* So, I'd ramble about how I want to move out and how I'm too poor to do it, but that pretty much sums it up. *tear*
I also need a job I enjoy. I don't know what, I don't know how, but I'll manage it eventually.
Anyway, I've got into 24 quite a bit. I say quite a bit, but Jack Bauer has fast become one of my heroes. Even more so, for different reasons, his daughter, Kim Bauer (Elisha Cuthbert).
