We gots ourselves a house!!!!!!!
Dont ask why I did the gangsta shit...
I think, to some, it looks like you take it personally when people can't come to an event instead of just thinking, "Oh bummer... so and so's busy." Hell, two people showed up for my birthday, and I still had a great time. I didn't know about the CP ticket quota. I honestly thought you were upset that only 15 people were going instead of 20-40, so it seemed weird to me. I'd be thrilled with 15 people, so I couldn't figure out where the anger/sadness was coming from. That's all.
This happens with families all the time too. I have a huge family, and every time there's a wedding or something, people get together and say, "Man.. I can't believe it's been two years. We need to see each other at something besides a wedding or funeral." Sometimes it happens; sometimes it doesn't. Three years ago, SG was still new and exciting and we had all sorts of active people, but that's sort of died away. People fell into their own cliques. It happens.
I think, with CP, it really is just a matter of timing and finances. A lot of people are unemployed or newly-employed, and others simply can't afford the gas and day at the park. It's also right in the middle of a huge month for vacations and family things. Also, some people have new partners, and sometimes people get very into a new relationship and don't really go out as much because they have this new life they're adjusting to. We also have a lot of people who've left the site or aren't as active who would normally be at CP. People have kids now. Etc.
I, myself, never go because I'm too big for some of the best rides, and I don't want to go again until I can ride everything. I know I could go and hang out with everyone and ride some stuff, but I'd feel pretty bummed not riding some of the best and newer coasters.
I'm sorry if I came off as harsh. That wasn't my intention. I just couldn't figure out why you were so upset.
