Artist: Bon Iver
Song: Skinny Love

my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer
i tell my love to wreck it all
cut out all the ropes and let me fall
my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my

Sam is gone for a month now, on tour with a canadian band. It's the first time since we've been together that we are apart for more than a couple of days. I am trying to find out now if I am still me without him, how much I changed because of him and if that's a good thing or not. I sometimes feel guilthy...

Toronto was good. Unfortunately I've been ill for most of the time (flu), so I walking around town like a zomby! Chris, Dan, Mike and Christian from the band CURSED, where we were staying, were very nice dudes and their gf's were the greatest. I'm looking foreward to see them all in April when they're coming to Europe for a tour. The gf's are coming...

Going to Toronto from 21-27 Nov, wooohooooo!!!
My bf gets 2 free tickets each year from his work, to anywhere he likes. The only 'but' is that we can only fly when there are seats left on the day we want to go. The seats look ok at the mo, so will prob not be a problem.
Why Toronto? Because we know the guys from...

Have been pretty busy lately. I started working again since two months after a 2 year break. I work as a pedagogic worker in afterschool care, something I did before. I really had to get used to working again and had some trobleswith finding my place in the team I'm...

Your engagement pic is awesome! Congrats! Planning a wedding is definitely a lot of work, and a lot of money goes into one day. Some days I want to just get a Justice of the Peace and do it in my backyard. But we're having family and friends from across the states come celebrate our day with us. We can't take that day away from them. It's almost as much for them as it is for us.
I'd never be happy just studying and reading, without being able to work in the field I'm studying. I have enjoyed teaching toddler and preschool in the past, but I'm ready to get away from child care, and into public schools. I am studying to become a teacher for infants through grade 3. I am also studying human ecology...basically, how the environment and an individual's development are interrelated and interdependent, based on the Ecological Systems Theory by bronfenbrenner. It's interesting stuff, especially for one studying education and pedagogy. I'm also interested in Early Childhood Special Ed. My college has special ed for the elementary and secondary years, but for some reason, Special Ed is not a choice. I think that's unfortunate for those of us who want to teach younger children who may also have special needs. I'd like to know why there are no public special ed programs for young children, just private schools that are not free. We need to work on that.
Anyway, I've been ranting. Best to you in your engagement, finding a home for the two of you, and planning the big day! And best to you in your educational/work endeavors.
