Is it seriously Wednesday? This week is flying by.
I wandered around Barnes&Noble yesterday for over an hour, looking at books and journals. Didn't really have a plan, but I left pretty happy with The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. Going to start Rant tonight I think. And Pygmy is coming out soon, can't wait for that. I really should be trying to finish The Lucifer Principal but honestly, science was never really my strong suit.
The boyfriend is going to be out of town this weekend, so I'll have the place to myself. Kind of sucks because I was really trying to get the weekend off and was looking forward to spending some time with his family. But, I couldn't get coverage at work, and in the end it's probably a good thing...Can't really afford the time off right now. Oh well, vacation soon enough, hopefully!
I've also been dying to see some bands. It's been faaaarrrrr too long. I was seriously stoked to see that Alkalie Trio was coming to town in June, only to find that they're opening for The Offspring and it's at the WaMu theatre. I'm not an Offspring fan and WaMu sucks as far as for a music venue. It's now tradition that my niece and I go see Alk3 so I thought, what the hell, we'll go and see them, then leave early and have a girls night. Then I looked up the tickets and found that after taxes and all that bullshit, I'm basically looking at $50 a person. Are you FUCKING kidding me??? I've never paid over $20 to see Alk3 . In all honesty if they were the main band, I would pay it but jesus fuck people...is The Offspring really that cool? $50? So irritating. Still trying to decide on that one.
Well, now that I've gotten that complaint off my chest, I think I'll go make dinner. Some tasty salmon and veggies are calling my name
Ciao loverlies!
