I found out today that I might be getting my own column on www.biggie.co.nz!! This brings me much joy. My column will probably be just about what's going on in the Wellington/NZ dnb scene, and drum n bass in general. I'll be the Carrie Bradshaw of jungle. Well.. at least.. that's the plan. ;]
I watched a documentary called 'Faking It' last night about taking a classically trained cello player (is it a celist?) and in only a month making her into a house DJ. It really inspired me to take up practicing my mixing again.. god knows I've been buying enough records over the last few months, just ask my credit card balance!! :o Anyways, I'm all "if she can do it.... I can do it". All I need now is a DJ name. ;]

You might as well practice your mixing, it could get you somewhere. A guy I know just mixes for fun and now he's playing support for big acts when they tour here.
You reminded me of this girl I met at a party once who had just finished her degree and got a job where she was sent to Berlin and had all her rent paid for, all she had to do was write an article once a month on the dnb culture there. I tried to get her to take me with her but it didn't work.
Belive me.. I've been thinking about possible DJ names for forever and I ain't got nothing.. I'm running out of ideas. :\
Hi reptar. :] Yeah I'm not really concerned whether it gets me anywhere or not, but of course it'd be great if it did!
And w0w! That's one lucky girl! My column isn't nearly as glamourous but it'll still be fun to write about something I love so much. :]
