Whilst i'm here this morning i'll share these with you. I've never used colour gels before even though i've had a couple sat in a box for a few years. They fit only one of the lights I have so I didn't get the effect of two at the same time but it was fun to experiment with some harsh lighting.
At the end of body scape shoot I had last weekend my model was a sport and wanted to experiment with the gels. I took a few shots free hand but mainly set the camera on the tripod and let the model go for it whilst I pushed the remote trigger. Its something I do at least once in every shoot I do just to see what happens, it interesting to me what people will do when my back is turned and the camera is just in front of them.
I enjoy edits like this when there's no expectation or requirements. Its something I will invest more time into, being able to master it in a different style would be another achievement.
