I believe the most important division in the world is this.
People fall into two categories.
the first, will examine data and having done so, will formulate a viewpoint.
The second, adopts a viewpoint (usually from a moral background) and looks for data to back it up.

The first group are infinitely rarer, but you can reason with them
The second are more common, there is no point in even trying
But I do continue to try.
