First day at the new job. Totally awesome.
Lots of firsts today.
First time working in a company that employs more than 8 people full time.
First time getting my own phone and extension.
First time working in a company as a developer with some kind of version control system (something I've yearned for for years).
Same for bug tracker -- it's incredible, but I work with developers who "get it."
First time working in a company that focuses entirely on internal projects.
First time working in a swanky downtown office.
First time getting my own workstation that I can do whatever I want with (I installed linux first thing).
First time getting my own phone, extension, and company voicemail box.
It's pretty cool. I think I'm totally going to love this job. I need to start collecting cube-goodies... even though I don't have a cubicle. It's still important. I work at an animation company -- everyone's a geek and they all have cool office toys!
I do have to learn how to be more sociable though -- I've been working at home full-time for 4 months or so now. It's not going to be hard though. Everyone is so nice! And energetic!
Awesomeness abounds!
