So I'm moving into a swanky new apartment on August 1st. I have a month to say farewell to the poor life for now. In some ways I think I might miss... a who the hell would miss cracked out neighbours, loud everything, not having a kitchen sink, and always being on in a constant battle with all the damn bugs that invade your apartment no matter how clean it can get? Who would miss broken kitchen cupboards, pipes that make loud and creepy noises, or a single barred window?
It's going to be great. I hope.
Thing is, the place is expensive (yay swanky). I've never spent this amount of money before. I've never been working at a job making this kind of money before. I've never lived the life where my family had this kind of money. So when I say I'm nervous -- I think I might really be nervous. I'm trying to stay positive, but at the same time a tiny voice keeps nagging me that I could wake up at any moment and it will all be taken away from me.
Well fuck that I guess. Enjoy it like it was the last.
Gotta go put on some laundry and get ready for karate. Kitten getting to kitty stage -- the energetic "hop and pounce and knock over everything" stage. She's my little ninja.
