So last night was it -- first rehearsal. Also the first time ever I have shared my songs with anyone. It was pretty intense...
so much so though that I completely choked on the vocals and just couldn't do them. So we focused on instrumentals and will try again over the weekend.

It's with a close friend... someone I respect and admire as a musician. It adds up when I have trouble communicating with people in the first place.

So tonight is the big night.
Nina is playing a show with Dance Yourself to Death, Sanctuary Records is going to be there.. "the man" from Iron Maiden who owns is gonna be there personally as I understand it.
While I'm excited for Nina and the opportunity this represents... I have my own label and interests and I wanna sign the band!

Yeah... I kinda figured. I just wish it was my label and not Sanctuary already -- they haven't played many shows and are just exploding.
I talked to her about it, and while I may not be signing the band into a record deal, they still need management and I am retaining some of the top lawyers in town.
Maybe I will get to "stick around" afterall. Or at the very least I'll get to see her off on an incredible career.
