Saturday night was fantastic. my band played with EZ-Tiger, Red Bennies, and Slowfinger at Kimo's.
EZ-Tiger is a one man band - he would play a guitar track into a loop, add bass, add keyboards, and then drum and sing on top of it. And then there were the turntables and the breakdancing. Fun to watch.
Red Bennies came all the way out from Utah, and did an excellent set of garage rock (but not that super trendy garage sound).
We had a great set, and as Iggy said, "The Sleeze Fans are the best fans in the world. Because they bring us alcohol."
And what can I say about Slowfinger. Rousing Southern-tinged rock that really got the crowd moving. (Note to boys at rock shows: yes, moshing is fun, but try not to drive away the girls who are dancing up front. The band will rock even harder with girls dancing up front. Trust me.)
After the show, we Slowfinger came over to our jam room and we all drank late into the night while Hobey's brother and our friend Amy had a freestyle rap competition. Good times.
