Okay how the F did you do the Halo Reach Legendary solo run so quick? I'm only on the 2 mission and having one bitch of a time doing anything.

I've been trying to take my time but my AI team makes keep getting me killed where I'm at currently in the game. Kat keeps getting in a warthog and drives around in circles eventually hitting me.
The only real hints I'm finding online is to always always have a plasma pistol and either a DMR, Needle Rifle or human pistol. Use the plasma pistol to knock down the shields of elites and then head shot them with the other.
