Well.. another New Year's Eve... Ms D and Z are hanging out at the homestead with me... we're going to take it easy.

With some luck, Z will crash and I can spend some time with D getting sweaty... parenthood is great, except the huge crimp it's put into our sex life.

Well.. D & I have Xmas all planned - headed to her sister's place in Brandon. My brother-in-law is getting called up to Afghanistan after the holidays, so we're going to do our best to enjoy a few days with the whole family together before he goes...

Well.. I'm back. Nearly two years since I left SG... and it still feels like home to me.

So what has happened in those two years?? Well.. I'm now a father, I now live on the other side of an ocean, and I'm doing different stuff careerwise...

Saw the Counting Crows at the Apollo last night. Good vibe in the air - everyone was having a good time, except the couple in front of us who each spent the whole evening sending text messages on their mobile phones. What's that about???

She started crying tonight when we were watching a slightly sappy scene on Sex and the City - and I found myself realizing again and again why I love her.

Even now, I can hear her singing 'The Way We Were' in the shower.

I'm feeling a little introspective this evening - need to blow off some of the last six months worth of career...

I'm excited - I have a new venture I'm getting off the ground. If it goes well, I'll be able to retire by this time next year... everyone cross your fingers!

Quiet Sunday... shes mad at me because I was thoughtless. So, there's a lot of quiet going on...

She'll read this sometime soon and we'll talk about it - but not right now, because I have to go stir the chili I'm cookin'.

I live in a country I don't like. I don't have a job (can't get anyone to sponsor a work permit). I miss my days of living in New York and Toronto so much...

...and yet, I am content and happy because she is with me and she understands.
