So I'm tossing around the idea of applying to be an SG. Which is hardly monumental, but I thought I'd share.

Edited to add that my day, despite being productive (I wrote all morning, resized some photos of my paintings so that I can print them for a real live portforlio, and mailed a painting that I sold to a very nice boy in Ireland) my day has been so full of bullshit it makes me want to kick someone in the nads really really hard. It's like this: all these things happen, and I can kind of understand how or why they happen, but they're just so preventable. Like the theft warranty people who claim they didn't get my fax when I have the confimation page right in front of me, or the lady at the post office who shuts down in the middle of the day and she puts up a sign on the door but obstructs half of it behind another sign so that all I can see is "Had to go to..." and no indication of whether it says "Had to go to the bathroom, be back in five," or "Had to go to Iran, be back in three weeks," and then when she does get back yells at me for putting EIRE instead of IRELAND on the package because "It has to be in English or else they won't deliver it." OR, here's the kicker, like my boss, who upon seeing me come through the door after the most annoying bus ride ever (why can't people on the bus just be quiet, or at least, like, quietER? Why do they have to talk like they're at a Def Leppard concert?) says "Oh, Clare, I forgot to call you. You don't have to work tonight." WHAT THE FUCK? Does he have absolutely no respect for me and my time? I mean, hello, thanks for making me waste 90 minutes that I could have spent painting, $3.50 that I could have spent on a sandwich, not to mention the fact that this takes me down to 13 hours this week when I was promised 20-plus. I mean, come on, people...what if I "just forgot" to let someone know I needed the day off, or even that I was going to be an hour late. I'll tell you what: I would be fired. So why can't I fire him?
Edited again to add: is Jude Law taking over the world?
