I'm reading with Michelle Tea and Page McBee at Modern Times (888 Valencia) on Thursday, June 14th at 7:30. Please come. kthx.
FAQ (just the one): I will most likely read from a short story about a lawyer...I keep saying he's neurotic but as I think about it he might actually be manic. Then again, isn't neurosis just a blanket term for any mental instability too mild to be termed psychosis? I don't know. Anyway, he's a little bit crazy. It's fun; I think you'll like it.
I'm also working on a manuscript of poems about, in short, immigration politics, and that's sort of where my heart is right now, but I've read from it a lot lately and it always takes some explaining and I still worry that people don't "get" it and think I'm a right-wing asshole...and I just think the fiction will just go over better with this crowd. Perhaps it will even make them love me.

I was tired of writing "books" over and over.
