Ok. So... I was having a chat with a Psychologist a couple of weeks ago and he told me that it takes 21 consecutive days to form a routine. Apparently, as long as you make it past day 15, if you lapse you don't have to start again . Otherwise... DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200.
I've been struggling to get things done, especially since finishing up my last job contract. because I live my life in a chaotic, mercurial fashion and occaisonally suffer from, for lack of a better term, creative depression... Which just comes with the territory.
And also considering the abysmal 2007 I had. I thought it a good idea to add a loose structure to my life, especially now before I begin to work full time again.
The only real structure to it is the waking time and about 5 smalls tasks that need to happen everyday or so i.e. Waking at 6am, exercising for an hour, meditating for an hour, doing one thing to further my goals 12 for 2008, etc.
So I'll be counting down for the next 21 days and updating the blog to mark my progress. Feel free to check back in.
Wish me luck, I'm gonna fucking need it.
