This will be my Christmas blog. I must say I am truly blessed to be where I am today. I am so thankful to be with the wonderful fiance I am and be surrounded by his wonderful family, including OUR stepson, Brandon. I have never been so happy in my life. I only have one complaint about my life as of recent. I have not been able to walk with my crutches since moving in with him three years ago. I am now totally confined to a wheelchair. :cries: This breaks my heart. I have always walked with assistance whether it be a walker or crutches since the age of three. So I have this one wish for Christmas. I want to be able to walk again. How is this possible you ask? I need to be able to get the device to prevent drop foot, which is my main impairment with mobility at the moment, It is called the "WALKAIDE SYSTEM." Sadly, my insurance will not cover the device and it costs roughly around $5000. I started a fundraiser previously in which I have gotten some very generous donations, some of which have been from fellow SG members. However, I do not nearly have enough for the device. Help me make my dream of walking come true and donate to my fundraiser and make this the best Christmas ever! I hope that everyone out there in SG land has a safe, joyous holiday with their friends and family and I will be sure to post pictures after all the festivities.
