So. I got a part-time design job. That's been pretty fun. And I'm in Condon for Turkey Day with Mike. My little world is so far from SG right now that I can hardly remember what it was like to be a part of everything. I think that's kind of nice, it's new.
The fog is so thick here (as it always is) that you can only see on average 2 center stripe dashes on the road in front of you at any one time. And the frost is stacked on the trees so when you stare into one you feel like you are drunk, because it all looks blurry.
Mike made sausages with beer-soaked sauerkraut and honeymustard with asparagus for dinner, and I think that is now my favorite meal ever. He hasn't smoked for the past 4 days, so he's been cranky... and puffing at a pipe every once in a while. I think it's so funny when he makes that face like he's about to cry, but then I remember how frustrating it can be.
I am almost flat broke, so it's a good thing I got that job. I bet my cell phone will be shut off by the time I get back to Portland where I can finally pay it. I managed to pay my rent, and now more than ever I'm feeling motivated to work my ass off to make some money. Mike is leaving again on the 2nd, so I'll have very few distractions when it comes down to the best cycle ever... working/sleeping/working/sleeping/working etc. etc. Until he leaves I'm going to have a hard time though. Life is awesome.
My house, my roommates, my work, my shitty comcast on demand television (i miss tivo)... I wake up and do on demand shitty exercises and all my roommates wake up and watch me trying to belly dance in my fluffy socks and sweatpants.
Have a good thanksgiving.
