Salutations True Believers! It is once again time to give you an update on how Kartoffel Summer Tour 2008 has been going. This summer has been a jam packed one with tour appearances all over the place and I have been remiss in letting my rabid fan base know how their favorite star is fairing. (Or is that just them foaming at the mouth for other reasons? Hard to tell with my fan base at times). Time to relate to you the tour stop with the Rockstar Mayhem festival. This one was quite enjoyable and the mother of every body's favorite superstar, (no not Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, but my mother), came along for the show. I have been blessed with a Mother who has an overlap of musical tastes with mine and treated me to several concerts in my youth. So I am happy to return the favor on occasion. In this case she was mostly interested in seeing Dragonforce. Most of the other bands are in more of the Loud and Growly category of performance, which while I have my days where it appeals to me; I need to be in the mood for such. This first year of the Rockstar tour had a nice line up and many cool things to be seen and purchased. Plus with Ozzfest only doing 1 show this year, it was nice to still have a music festival to attend with similar propensities. There were a lot of bands, but the main stage were the ones I was there for primarily, those being Dragonforce, Disturbed, and Slipknot. I enjoyed checking out the various booths and Jagermeister had some amusing games they were running. There was also a stunt motor bike team that was running during the show that was getting some impressive air with their jumps. So after arriving and waiting for a while to sign all of my fans autographs, which for some reason there must have been a mis communication about my presence at the tour. While I was circulating with the crowd the fans all put in a fantastic performance of not recognizing me as the celebrity that I am and ignored me entirely even though I know they were all dying to have my autograph. I do appreciate my fans dedication however and I did not tell them to stop putting on a brave face, but admired them for their steadfast dedication to give me some private space even as a mega celebrity. I also was able to enjoy some time hanging out with my fellow celebrities and talked with the Band Dragonforce for a bit as well as an impressive individual who did the actual guitar play for a lot of Guitar Hero. So it was cool to meet the man behind the music as it were. Also I would like to mention the gigantic abundance of Rockstar energy drink. But alas for my needs they did not stock any sugar free versions, so I was unable to join my fans in parching their thirst on a nice free energy beverage. Anyway True Believers that is enough for now, suffice it to say the musical performances were fantastic and a good time was had by all. Later True believers! Excelsior!
