Looks like I'm in the middle of my third week in college. Pretty much the same routine... the hours aren't bad at all, the homework, well... that's to be expected in college I suppose.

I was in a small independent record shop called Pure Pop, and I found an ad posted that caught my eye. It was a drummer looking for a guitarist/vocalist to jam with; he said he was very flexible music wise but he would like to find someone who's into bands like Neurosis, Isis, Old Man Gloom, Khanate, etc... This is awesome for me! I love all of those bands, especially Neurosis, who are one of my favorite bands, and a huge inspiration for me (check out their new album, 'The Eye Of Every Storm', it's awesome). The ad just had a name and a number, so I think I'm going to wait tillt he weekend when all my homework's out of the way and I'm going to make the call and talk about music, see if I can get together and play some music sometime.

I've been wanting to form a band probably since I was about 13 or so, and since I've never had any friends I've never been able to. This sounds like my chance to form a band and probably make a few friends up here. I'm excited and hopeful.


I suppose I'm due for a random, on the spot poem, so here goes...


I don't want to.
Under flies and waves...
I find order under fire.
For the hundredth time I wake up on fire.
Shrieking like speed itself.
Larynx swollen.
Trachea indulgently varicose.
Picking up hints along the trial...
That I can't be alone.
Stay out of the world.
Asphyxiate over majesty.
Choke up while rotating at a constant pace.
Record the sound of your overlapping hands.
Pray that you'll sound like a god.
You'll force me to focus...
I contract.
I'll move.
