Whew... I haven't updated this journal since JUNE 17!! And to think, at one point I updated it like twice a week.
I still come here everyday to beat off. So don't feel left out, ladies.
Wednesday night I saw Judas Priest. Here's my review on stereokiller:
"So for possibly the first time, I got to a show in Montreal without getting lost.
Anyways... Anthrax took the stage and opened with Among The Living! Fucking amazingly good set, which included Got The Time, Caught In A Mosh, and Indians (best song of the set by far). It sucked that we had seats and all since it was a stadium, but most stood up the whole time and I was pretty close to the stage. Anthrax got the whole place going... I've always enjoyed Anthrax but I was never a really big fan until seeing them tonight, they exceeded my expectations. It was Joey Belladonna's birthday so everyone wished him a happy fuckin birthday and Scott Ian made fun of him being old, hahaha.
I thought Anthrax was good, but Judas Priest... holy lord. They blew everything away. They opened with Hellion/Electric Eye, with Halford coming out of some huge eye.... They had such a perfect setlist... all over their career including Sad Wings Of Destiny and Rocka Rolla and Turbo. The crowd put up their lighters for Diamonds And Rust. The stage theatrics were great and Halford is a master of getting the whole place going... the stage had all kinds of stairs and shit so him and Glen Tipton and KK Downing were all over the place. There were about 5 different backdrops and Rob came out on a motorcycle for Hellbent For Leather.
I really gotta say, there'll never be another Rob Halford. Nobody will ever come close."
I'd like to add that last month I saw some amazing shows...
Sept 8th - Merzbow
Sept 11th - Neuraxis, Ion Dissonance
Sept 12th - Of Montreal
Sept 19th - Khanate, Wolf Eyes
Sept 21st - Sabbat
On the 28th this month I'm seeing Rasputina! And on the 29th, Opeth with Nevermore.
my playlist tonight:
Lack Of Interest - Take Another Step
Rasputina - Thanks For The Ether
Judas Priest - Stained Class
Cianide - The Dying Truth
Jesu - Heartache
HANG YOURSELVES
