So, it's been a while since I've really updated this thing.
Let's see -- done a lot of work around the house. Took apart the nephew's bed and built him the bunk bed / computer desk my sis got for him.
Got new sofa and love seat for the living room, which meant that the old stuff had to go. Still need to swap coffee tables & end tables between the family room and living room.
Lot of furniture moving between home, the storage unit, and Goodwill.
New freezer, so the food from the ancient freezer (seriously, it's older than I am) has to be taken out so I can take to old freezer out and put the new one in.
LOT of work on the pool. After a looooooooooooooooooooong time, it's nearly finished!
Managed to get the mortgage restructured, so not only are we NOT in foreclosure (and we beat it by like 2 days), but the payment is down by almost $1000 a month!!! that is fucking incredible!!!
And, of course, I have a kitten!!! Licorice is her name! She was found by a friend who couldn't keep her, and I said I'd take her. 2 weeks we've had her. She's probably only about 8 weeks old now, but a total sweetheart. considering the fact that she was a feral baby, she's really adapted to life as a house cat. I'm incredibly happy to have her!
So, yeah. that's really it. Still trying to find a job. Getting new glasses in a week. They're picked out and paid for; I just need them to be finished and sent to me. Nothing resembling a love life, but that's really nothing new.
OK, talk to you later!

Ugh, sounds exhausting! I came within 30 hours of foreclosure myself last year. My new kitty looks like he's about 6 weeks old maybe, and, yeah they can certainly adapt from feral to domestic, and vice versa, really fast. Literally overnight, seriously 24 hours, he went from shaky and scared to crying when he can't see me or feel my hand, and almost glued to me. The dogs don't scare him as much now, and he's starting to get a little more brave with "mommy" to back him up. My mom says it was probably like being dropped into a Japanese monster movie for him with these dogs and humans that are like 50 to 100 times his size.
