Been a while since the last update, many things have changed since then (i actually have to check and see when the last date I wrote was now). Ok, been close to a month so its about time for one.
August stuff firstly. Driving test got postponed due to a labour dispute that is still ongoing so in short, all the drivers who are evaluating everyone are on strike and as of today, are all STILL on strike. So after that I managed to get out to a few places to get some new clothes including to places I normally wouldnt even step foot in such as Guess and Abercrombie and Finch (but hey I wanted some nice clothes, I still like my west49/boathouse and band shirts). Managed to get a bunch of the items I needed for school too such as my supplies and other little things such as a bigger laundry bag for when I got sheets or blankets to wash. Also got around to watching Adventureland (not what I expected, not sure if its a good thing or not) and Observe and Report (still eh-ing on it).
I got to In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Protest the Hero, and Between the Buried and Me. Btbam played first and it was amazing to finally see them, I would have gotten a shirt but all their merch got held at the border so that sucked out of control. Protest was good too, I was also really happy to finally see them too, and they were solid. In Flames was In Flames, and therefore had some songs where it was fun as hell to sing along with. Killswitch Engage KILLED, so many singalong songs and it was just generally a fun atmosphere, girls and guys all were belting out songs. Came out with a KSE shirt and a protest the hero shirt but no In Flames stuff, they dont have the best looking merch so I'm not compelled to buy any of it.
The next morning I came back to Peterborough very early so I could get a fair amount of running around done while I had a car. Managed to get food, pick up books, student card, and then after unpacking my clothes and other things I brought with the mother and sister went back home. After that commenced the building of my nice ikea bookshelf while rocking music. Finally got it done with a victory dance and slightly blistered hands from having to turn the steel Alan key, it is nicely sitting behind my tv against the wall. Got my newest posters up too so my wall looks happy cause its full of poster. That night I got to hang out with my good friend Alyssa and got to see her bachelor pad and then walked over to see Melissa's bachelor pad too. Next day consisted of some running around, seeing the final destination in digital 3d with Melissa and then a night to settle down. Saturday I did some major walking while in search of items which I didn't manage to procure but I looked but then in the evening was Erica's housewarming which wasn't too bad cept for the 7 hour headache I had while I was there but I didn't let that get me too badly. Found out one of my roommates is moving out to live with her bf (which will be entertaining because they have such volatile fights, but happily I won't have to deal with them anymore I hope) so we'll need another come october/november (anyone wanna move to ptbo?). Also got to hang out with my buddy on sunday night and we started up res evil 5 coop on Veteran setting.
Had most of my classes and man, the ratio is totally in my favour, always more girls than guys. I'll be waiting til next week before I just start chatting up randoms so I don't have to waste my time. I will hopefully be able to drink a big cup of courage and maybe get some friends/romance out of it. Especially in my child development class, 5 dudes total out of a class of around 50. Went to my first yoga class today and highly enjoyed it (plus enjoyed the ratio, full class of around 20-30 and only 3 dudes including me) so I'ma keep it up, might get some more friends out of it too. Also I plan on chatting up the forensics girl in my child development class cause I don't know her too well so its time to change that methinks. At the very least I can hope for some more friends, since I've picked most of the forensics group dry and now I'ma get my good girl-friends looking for me too. Classes have been dull this week but they are all intro's so I'm not surprised.
I ordered the new black dahlia murder cd and the deluxe version of the new every time i die cd so I'm stoked for the dvd's that come with both. Also gonna start a ritual of checking the 2 used game stores for both prototype and Wet every week and then I also am gonna start checking the independent record store for band shirts since they have a lamb of god one I like but not in my size so I'll have to hound them into getting it for me. Still going to see every time i die on october 9th and it looks like i wont have anything except my daytime classes interfering with it at all. Once I get the yoga into a routine I may look into the guitar next or it will wait until next semester.
