time to really actually start to plan this move. the application for the apartment down there is in, and the paperwork for the acceptance should be done on monday. i'm first on their wait list for someone who moves out, so i don't know when i move until they tell me. kind of exciting...could be oct...nov...better not be later than that!!!
got a bunch of work contacts, and am weirdly excited about starting over.

I worked for a moving company called Gentle Giant for several summers (best of Boston five years running) and we had to do some piano moving sometimes. That was the worst. There were times when it actually got very dangerous. Like carrying one of those things up the stairs. You'd have these guys that had been moving their whole lives and you could see they wee barely holding on, but if they let go of the piano, they'd be crushed. The danger of the piano. Not to be trifled with.
