I would like to apologize to anyone who came out to see my band Call Me Alice in Newport Beach tonight, Sunday, July 20 at Hogue Barmichaels. We did not end up performing due to a disagreement in the negotiated terms re the performance with the venue and promoter (IE: last minute performance time change from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30, set length was changed to only 20 minutes and the overbooking of bands on the bill which made the performance bill unmanagable). 
We were really looking forward to playing the show but the unprofessionalism of this venue was unbelievable, unacceptable and prevented my band from being
able to perform on the level the audience deserves. If you made it out to the show before we left the club, please let me know andI'll find a way to make it up to you.
If you are in a band and are considering playing at this club - Hogue Barmichaels....DON'T DO IT!!!!
On a more positive note, we have two cool shows this week in San Diego which I'm looking forward to.
I just found out recently that Snake River Conspiracy has been added to our show's bill on Friday, August 25! Whooo Hoooo!

what my entry into your journal should hava said is "i am about halfway through 'writing' a book of the same name...," and i've been about halfway for way too long, ya know?
as far as the artists life is concerned, one thing i'm sure you've noticed is that if you give an inch, you'll end up taking a dry 5 1/2 somewhere painful. or, considering the people in charge we have to deal with, maybe it's only a dry inch .5 or so........
yes, and you have a really spectactular voice... it's almost like small, contained explosions. i like 'speed' the best, from what i've heard so far..
