Don't you just love people? I volunteered to facilitate a Diversity Awareness Group that I have been participating in, and the topic was homophobia/heterosexism. I was the only gay person there.. only 6 (including me) people showed up (out of 25) and they so seriously disrespected me. Every -ism was there... they were all older than me and our black male took over the entire discussion and steered it toward racism.. I am soooo disappointed in these people.. they have volunteered to learn about diversity and they treat me this way... makes me wonder why I even put myself out there and try to help educate people and myself..
