I'm looking forward to my upcoming trip to Germany. As a boy, I lived in Germany for six years. I haven't been back there in a long time. It will be strange since I don't eat meat now... all Germans ever eat is meat! Anyway, I'll only be there for five days and most of that time I'll be working; so, I guess I won't...

they don't all eat meat, that is an outdated stereotype. But if you are going to be staying with (elderly)relatives you might be in trouble. All the Germans I know are vegetarians and there is no shortage of Asian restaurants in German cities (i don't know about rural areas). I found lots of good cheap vietnamese and Indonesian restuarants when i lived in Munich, and of course there is Indian. Indians restaurants in Germany are just like ours, they even refer to dishes by their english names.

The best part of Dresed is the Neu Stadt. or was it the Alt Stadt? It is the area on the other side of the river from the central city (with the historic buildings).

In the neu stadt, there is an area that could be described as an "alternative quarter." There is plenty of Indian and Turkish food to be had there. My favourite place was an Indian restaruant/bar/concert venue with outdoor seating. I forget what it was called, they certainly will have vegetarian food. There are quite a few good bars there, includig a gothic one. sorry i don't remember much i was drunk the whole time i was there

I think therefore I am. We assume that others exist because of our perception of them, but all we know for sure is that they exist in our minds. Everyone wants to have something profound to say. Everyone wants their fifteen minutes of fame... at least in my world that is the case. Why do we cling to the illusion of ego?

You're getting all Hindu on me, babe. We must finish that conversation sometime.

Shit, I'm supposed to go on a business trip to Dresden in October. I need to get a fuckin' passport. I need to finish my presenations for the trip by this weekend.... Oh, and my advanced semiconductor physics class starts tomorrow. Well, I shouldn't complain. I mean I hate the feeling of boredom more than anything else. Now, I've got enough to keep me busy...

I face a dilemma. There is a cedar seedling in the local park... well actually its not so much a park as it is a grassy knoll... okay, okay it's just the place I take my dogs to shit. Anyway, I wish to dig up this little tree and keep it as a bonzai. However, I have convictions against removing a tree from nature.

Do...

Yesterday morning I found a nest of baby bunnies in my front yard. They were no bigger than the palm of a human hand. This morning as I was heading to my car to leave for work, I noticed one of the bunnies was walking in the street. I put him in a shoe box, and took him to work with me. When I got...

I went to the Broom Street Theatre tonight, and saw "Ten Little Idiots." It was a spoof on the Agatha Christi novel "Ten Little Indians." Essentially, the plot involved ten dumb people stranded in a hotel on top of a mountain. One by one, they accidentally kill themselves. The cast of characters included Bill Clinton, Rosie O'Donald, Mr Rodgers, Liz Taylor, Michael Jackson, Jimmy Swagart,...

What attracted you to see it? I generally don't see plays... although I was involved in some student production when I was a uni (or college as I believe the locals call it). Most set and sound and lighting design....

I believe the last play I saw was Rosencrantz & Guildenstein by Pork Chop productions (Jeremy Sims)... Very entertaining....

Just saw a segment on Ian McKellen (aka Gandalf) on 60 Mins.... if I lived in his town I'd probably see more theatre, but then again, my town produced Kate Blanchet and I don't see her perform...

Oh well...

I loved thriller. I'd love to see that cast do it too.... ha! I would fall off my chair.

I can't wait until next week. I'm taking the week off, and my wife and I are going to see Sonic Youth in Minneapolis. Minneapolis is such a nice city, we're going to hang out there for the week. Maybe we'll go and see djtrixie spin... if we find out where she spins. I'm looking forward to the break.

I'd like a break soon. I may be heading to Vegas shortly if events all fall into place like I wish they would.. who knows. Have fun in M-town.

I'm sad because I've fallen in love with a woman who died two years ago.
