When I was a kid we were friends with this family that lived up the road. Their daughter was high school aged when I was like 5 or 6. I remember her having long black hair and I had a huge kid crush on her. Her family always did fun stuff for Halloween and one year they made their yard look all scary and built a coffin that they put right in the middle of the yard. With spooky music playing, flashing lights and fake tombstones she got dressed up in a white flowey dress and pale face makeup and laid in the coffin. Then every once in a while or when people came by she would sit up and scream super loud. I thought it was awesome, though I do remember being a little scared. I've been thinking about this and I really think witnessing this event is why I love women with long dark hair, that kind of have that spooky Halloween vibe to them. Oh, and why I love Halloween.
