Okay, so time to submit something new. Nothing really new to talk about actually, I only like to write in here if I have something to say. Really got nothing right now. Ummmmm, I'm going to Missouri this weekend. Two of my guys are fighting and they like me going for medical, spiritual, etc. support. So, cool, road trip.
I'm still in training for a few more days on the Army doctrine combatives stuff. Yeah, I work at the school and haven't completed the training, hey, shit just happens like that sometimes. Anyway, all the training made me realize something today. I've been training so much in BJJ, Army doctrine, boxing, kickboxing, MMA, and whatever else people would teach me that I've been overwhelmed with knowledge and not retained as much of it as I would have liked. So, what I've decided to do is slow it down a bit. I'm going to go to fewer classes in the evenings, do more one-on-one training with my guys during the day, and really focus on the fundamentals for a while so that I'll have a good base in this stuff. That's one of the problems that I've noticed with my technique, is that I still struggle with the basics sometimes. So I'm a slow it down a little and focus on the foundation, then build on that. It just makes sense.
All right, time to go to the gym. Later.
